My Amazing Big Sister and Curt’s Cafe: Dine With Purpose

I am just back from a wonderful week of vacation with my family, but I have to use my blog to share a story about my sister, Suzie.  I am just too proud to let it go, and I want everyone who knows and supports me to know and support my sister.  She deserves the most love and support the world can send her way.

She opened this inspirational cafe last year to help at-risk youth, and those who had been incarcerated, to help them make that important next step up.  She gives them training in a skill that they can use to find jobs, she gives them support and guidance in every important area of life, including the life skills needed to hold a job, to show up on time, to balance a check book, to write a resume, to dress in a way that will help find and attract jobs.

And more than all of that, she adores them.  She shows them her whole heart, and she shares with them all of her energy.  They are respected and they are loved.  Something that often does not come their way.

Her kids are also amazing, as are the wonderful volunteers who share her vision and share their time.

Check out the video on You Tube and you too will understand why I adore my sister, and have more love and pride for her than words can ever say.
